ARE YOU INTERESTED IN HOSTING AN EVENT?
In the Spring and Fall of 2013, I, Alan Pedersen, will be speaking and sharing my music with grief support organizations like yours, as I travel throughout the country.
HERE IS SOME INFORMATION TO HELP MAKE YOUR EVENT SUCCESSFUL.
We have tried to make hosting an event as simple as possible. The following information should answer all of your basic questions about what is involved with hosting your event. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Dana at AlanPedersenEvents@gmail.com
WHAT:
An Angels Across the USA concert features Alan Pedersen speaking and playing for approximately an hour and 15 minutes, followed by a “meet and greet time” which usually lasts about an hour. Most groups provide light refreshments during the meet and greet time.
LOCATION:
You will need to secure a location for your event.
EQUIPMENT:
We provide all of our own sound equipment. You will need to provide electrical power and a 6-8 foot table to display CD’s, t-shirts, etc.
FEES:
We don’t charge a fee to come to your town, but if your group is able to contribute to this ministry, it is greatly appreciated. Some groups find a local sponsor to help. We will have a donation basket at our table so those attending may donate to the ministry as well.
HOTEL:
In most cases we will need one hotel room (for up to 2 nights) depending on our travel schedule. Many groups are able to provide a hotel, find a local hotel to donate a room, or offer a room at a discounted rate. Your group is not required to provide us with lodging, but it is a great help to us if you can.
MEDIA:
You will find a sample press release that you can fill out and sent to your local media sources to let them know the Angels Across the USA has chosen your city as one that they will visit among the 120 cities they will visit this year.
CHILDREN:
Our program is not suitable for small children. We have had many complaints when small children have been present. The topic at these events is very emotional and requires an environment free of interruption. These events are not appropriate for children too young to sit still and quietly for more than an hour. Please help us by communicating this to families with small children.
Alan Pedersen is a bereaved father, award winning songwriter, successful recording artist, and nationally recognized speaker on grief and loss.
In August of 2001 Alan’s only daughter Ashley was killed in an automobile accident in Colorado. This tragedy took his life in a direction he never imagined. His pain and journey toward finding joy again have been the subject matter for four highly acclaimed CD’s of original songs.
As an in demand keynote speaker and workshop presenter, Alan has been featured at many international, national, and regional conferences including The World Gathering on Bereavement, The Compassionate Friends National Conference, and The National Gathering of Bereaved Parents of the USA.
His music is popular with bereaved people around the world and is used at hundreds of candle lighting services, balloon and butterfly releases, and by hundreds of professionals and organizations as a healing tool for the bereaved.
Alan’s message is simple, “We were put on this earth to love them for as long as WE live, not for as long as THEY lived.” He believes that healing comes slow, but does come as we reach out to others who share this journey and offer our hand to help.
With a gentle mix of humor and straight-from-the-heart talk wrapped around powerful songs about love and loss, an evening with Alan Pedersen will make for a unique, healing and memorable concert experience.
The public is invited to share an evening of music, hope, and healing at this free concert event.
